For ShaziaReader comment on item: Christianity Dying in Its Birthplace Submitted by Walter (Canada), Sep 17, 2005 at 11:27 My Dear Shazia:Once again I need to comment on the beauty of your words, the poetry, the soothing rhythm and the delightful comfort they are intended to bring. In comparison, my words are like the shrill siren that awakens those to the peril at their door. That which we believe about Muhammad comes from the writings of his companions. Remember, Muhammad could neither read nor write. So if we are to believe the words of his companions who wrote down his words as he recited them (Qur'an, to recite),why should we not believe that which they wrote about him? After all, it was his companions who chronicled his life as he lived and not his enemies. The second point you should consider is that there are approximately 3000 different religions in this world. One and only one (Islam) sanctions the kind of violence that the Qur'an encourages and it's adherents inflict on this world. While the number who have perpetrated violence are few, the numbers who celebrated their destruction and mayhem were many. Today, in Iraq, thousands of innocent Muslims have been killed not by the Americans, but rather by their own brothers in faith. As for "inner reality; well stop searching and read Jer 17:9 The heart is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked: who can know it?
