Faqi stated: "Reading all what Ms. Shazia Khanum says on these sites; I am surprised that she is still a believer and follower of ...Mohamed, his book the quran and his religion."

Response:

As I have repeatedly said, a person's path is based upon her interpretation, level of consciousness, books she reads, and many other factors. Islam is currently being treated by many based upon their personal images of it. The word "islam" has a meaning**. I use it as such. When used in this sense, any devotee of God would love to be a "muslim", whether they refer to their path as Christianity, Judaism, Hinduism, Sikhism, Buddhism, Bahaism, Ahmadism, etc., or don't even give it an outer label.

When used as a title to refer to the beliefs and deeds of evildoers such as Osama bin Laden and his cronies, who would want to be a muslim, unless they have succumbed to their evil tendencies!? Not me!

** One meaning of the word "islam" is to make peace with God in the sense that God is the Reality that encompasses all other realities -- known and unknown to us. When one is in this state, one is in utter peace and tranquility as one has managed to be in a moment when one is in harmony with all the natural laws (physical, spiritual and others) that govern our existence. In other words, one is in total alignment with one's reality.

One doesn't need a "book" for that -- the book is already within us.
