Possibly there is a "method behind folly"

Reader comment on item: Ariel Sharon's Folly

Submitted by Srini Varadarajan (United States), Apr 6, 2005 at 08:17

I saw (on WorldNetDaily) an article which said that Sharon's withdrawal from Gaza (the article was written before the extremely-long-overdue AIDS demise of Yaser Arafat) was designed to protect the settlers from the civil war that would ensue in the PA's territory.

As the PA was never, except in name, an authority/government (but only a thugocracy worse than that found even in Medellin or Cali), the idea of an internecine war (I hesitate to use the word "civil" any longer in light of PA, Hamas, and other thugocracies; but the bulk of "palestinians" are certainly overinfused with hatred to even love their own) certainly looks credible.
