Skillful engineering of minds

Reader comment on item: Ariel Sharon's Folly

Submitted by Mordechai Kramer (Israel), Apr 12, 2005 at 16:46

Yes , things look bad. The worst thing for me is the way Sharon , with the help of his media advisors, has managed to manipulate public thinking. People like Charles Krauthammer and Norman Podhoretz have come out in favor of disengagement. The former believes in Sharon and the latter in Bush and Sharon. The whole issue has never been publicly debated in the media. Only the truly Orthodox have shown the power to go exactly in the opposite direction that the wind is blowing. It means enduring a surrealistic barrage of skillful brow beating.

My only consolation is that at least Daniel Pipes has not deserted us. We all have to pray to God and do whatever we can.
