How can it be illegal to remove settlements from occupied territories. Those settlements were never intended to be permanent.

Furthermore, Governments always have the right to condemn property with compensation to achieve a societal goal. ...

I think Sharon is doing the right thing. Defending those settlements was too costly and there is now an opportunity for peace which must be tested.
