Who's behind Sharon's behavior?

Reader comment on item: Ariel Sharon's Folly

As I don't even recognize any such thing as a "Palestinian people" (they are just Arabs), "Palestinian Authorithy" (Arab terrorists with a flag) and much less a preposterously proposed "Palestinian State" (A 21th Century-version of the TROJAN HORSE,as deceitful,
deadly as its Greek counterpart), I see Mr.Sharon's acts against his own constituency as ELECTORAL FRAUD.

He lied to his voters and I doubt he'd ever get elected again. He's politically finished. He could try and enter LABOR...As I don't believe he'll be accepted in a place where he was always hated, he'll be back to his ranch, or even better,a jail.

"Palestinians" see Israeli withdrawal as a strong sign of WEAKNESS. Israeli withdrawal from south Lebanon was the hint that gave them the idea of INTIFADA VOLUME 2.

Hamas's assassins already confirmed this theory. They don't respect weakness. I'm afraid that Washington's hands are behind Sharon's odd behavior. The word BLACKMAIL-- once too strong -- is increasingly becoming the most accurate term to describe this situation.

Our friend George W.Bush is seeking appeasement toward the Arab world at Israel's expense. This second term is deemed to put Mr.Bush in the history books as a peacemaker,in lieu of his warrior-like first term.

What the Israelis will get with all of this? Peace?

Only a fool would ever believe that peace will be delivered in that region. As long as Hamas, Al-Aqsa "Martyrs" Brigade,
Islamic Jihad exist, the word "peace" will be just like any other word in the dictionary.
