Not Folly, but rather a rare opportunity

While I agree with most of Dr. Pipes' articles and observations, I think he is should see that this is a rare opportunity to relinquish an indefensible piece of turf in a gesture that will NOT be seen as retreat by the Palestinians. For once the PA is committed to reigning in the terrorists and establishing some sort of rule of law. Sharon has placed the burden on the PA to show it can govern and control its people. If the PA fails now, they have no excuse. The world will condemn them to the junk heap of failed regimes.
