Jewish state is for Jews, just like Japan is for Japanese and Arabia for Arabs

Reader comment on item: Israel's Arabs, Living a Paradox

If Jews stand firm on their right to have their own Jewish state, the world will accept that. Just like the world accepts Japanese requirements for citizenship which exclude children and grandchildren of from foreign nationals (Koreans). Likewise in the Emirates, only local Arabs can be citizens even though some people from of other ethnic group, live there as third generation.

It is time for the Jews to realize that the world accepts a strong stand. Israeli stand has been very weak. All that talk about equality for the Arabs, and about giving Judea and Samaria away to the Arabs has only legitimized the Arab narrative.

Nobody would dream of asking Arabs to give away half of Mecca or Medina, likewise if Jews learn from their Arab cousins how to take a stand, nobody will ask them to give away half of Jerusalem, or Judea/Samaria.
