The truth which hurts

Reader comment on item: Something Rotten in Denmark?
in response to reader comment: Sweden is the most racist country

Submitted by European (Sweden), Aug 3, 2010 at 16:19

I have been living in Sweden for more than 17 years and I can say that everything in the article written by "Immigrant in Sweden" is true. There is so much hypocrisy in this country that it makes any honest person sick. Swedes like to picture themselves as an open and generous society, but in reality the majority of the Swedes are still farmers afraid of everyone and mostly of themselves. Populace is so brainwashed that they believe their country is one of the best in the world and still everyone is trying to travel abroad as much as they can only to escape the oppression which is so subtle that outsiders do not perceive it from the very beginning. The country has always pandered to the big powers, first it was Nazi Germany, now is the USA and in the future it will be India or China. Swedish media can remind one of the old DDR or Russia during Communist dictatorship where everyone was so happy and satisfied.
Of course, there are many immigrants here, although they live like second class citizens and even their children who are born here and speak Swedish without any accent are still called immigrants.
A racist state par excellence!
