Go back and read the thread from the beginning. YOU are the one who introduced bi-partisanship and fear into the discussion, "The republicans appeared to be a scared erratic". I was merely refuting this statement. Do I lean more Republican and conservative, well, that should be obvious by my previous statements. Where you pull in the rest, I have no idea, if you examine the premise of the thread and the actual statements I am trying to address. We were discussing the two parties, not Islam, not anything else.

The Republican ticket was not scared by the platform of the Obama ticket, come on, McCain was tortured within an inch of his life, do you think words scare him?

Any debate depends on the definition of its terms and scope of its arguments. I stayed at task.

Mr. Pipes is quite capable of defending himself, or ignoring any attacks as he sees fit, but I will say that his books are some of the more balanced books about Islam out there and I suggest you read them.
