America is not ready for a Black President

Reader comment on item: Predicting the 2008 U.S. Presidential Election

Submitted by Ken Besig (Israel), May 2, 2008 at 06:06

Apart from Barak Obama's inexperience, immaturity, shallowness, and seeming naivete, I believe that America is simply not yet ready for a Black President. Further, while Obama's close association with figures like the now notorious Black American nationalists and race baiters Rev. Wright and Louis Farrakhan, and his unwillingness to tell the truth about his Moslem background can be safely ignored in these Democratic Primaries, they emphatically cannot and will not be ignored in the General Election in the Fall.

Mr. Obama is a glib, clever, and tricky charlatan who seems to have both studied the writing of and imitated the onstage behavior of both Elijah Muhammed and Malcom X in his successful rise to the United States Senate. Yessir, Mr. Obama's stage presentation is very effective in motivating his supporters and he has run a superb campaign long on his and his wife's personalities and short on his radical liberal policies, but for those of us who see past his quick and often unfair and immoral verbal sniping and his avoidance of any serious discussion of his foreign policies, we realize that in the words of that truly immortal leader, Abraham Lincoln, you can fool some of the people all the time, all of the people some of the time, but you cannot fool all the people all the time.

At least Obama hasn't tried weeping in public yet, but I suppose there is still still time for that.
