Kwanzaa all over againReader comment on item: 'Become a Muslim warrior' Submitted by Glenn Klotz (United States), Jul 3, 2002 at 13:57 Who's surprised? I complained to my daughter's grade school principal 2 yrs. ago when I was amazed to see her school putting Kwanzaa, a totally fabricated quasi-religious celebration created by Militant Black Nationalist Ron Karenga in the mid-60's, on the same footing as Christmas , Hanukkah and Ramadan - all ancient religious observances. At the annual Xmas holiday school play that, year Kwanzaa took up 3/4 of the show. When I confronted the principal about this absurdity, he immediately accussed me of being a racist. I'm afraid that what's happening in our public schools these days amounts to a form of multi-culturalism PC gone crazy. What's next - English as a second language to Arabic or Swahilli? I'm all for tolerance but even tolerance has it's limits.Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please.
