Concept of Zero

Reader comment on item: On New York's "Khalil Gibran International Academy"
in response to reader comment: Response to John Abi-Habib

The NYC DOE spokesman made a mistake. Lots of the readers realized that. We do not have it in the program and we realized he did.

Let's move on and talk about the concept of the school and the real curriculum in the school grades 6th to 12th. The program and curriculum of the school is tied to the teaching of the 1.1Million+ student in NYC that attend public school with emphasis on Middle Eastern Art, music, culture and language.

I know lots of people responded to the school but technically they showed their views on Islam. They are totally different, you cannot connect Islam to Arabic and for sure you cannot connect Islam to the school.

As if you are saying: our government in DC is responsible for Christianity. I take offense in that, because I am Christian and I don't think our government represents my religion and its views.

To our readers, be patient. Education is very important. Once the NYC DOE finds a temporary site for the school and it is official, the DOE and collaborating partners will share the plans of the school year in Sep 2007 and beyond.

The beauty of this beautiful country and beauty of NYC is its diversity, its multi-cultures and multi-levels of teaching our children. Give our children a chance to prosper and excel.
