Reader comment on item: Columbia [University] vs. America

Submitted by Steven Hess (United States), Apr 1, 2003 at 12:33

I am a graduate of Columbia; something I have always taken pride in, the 1968 demonstrations, notwithstanding. But I am filled with revulsion at the hateful and treasonous rhetoric emanating from some of the faculty and the knee-jerk acquiesance of much of the student body. Perhaps students just don't know better, but the administration certainly should. If NBC could, after a soul-searching and hand-wringing night, find the minimal integrity to get rid of its traitor perhaps the academy can do the same.
