Columbia no longer the "Gem of the Ocean"

Reader comment on item: Columbia University vs. America

Submitted by paul e. schwab (United States), Apr 3, 2003 at 20:33

The quotes presented in the Pipes item show how low the once great Columbia University faculty has slipped - no, sunk - from the once praiseworthy days of my youth. It seems to me that the principle of academic freedom is being exploited to a greater and greater degree every day...! I intend to write to the Dean of Faculty @ Columbia U. to request - no, demand, disciplinary action for these professorial traitors. They are an offense to the University and to the Nation!!!
