Reader comment on item: Saddam's Rap Sheet

I have come to the conclusion that a lot of this country's population, especially the younger generation, is naive and has taken for granted what generations have fought so hard to keep. We give no regard to our history or how fortunate we really are. If it were not for this freedom we have, you would not be protesting, you would not be voting, you would not have a right to do everything that we DO, do.

I support Pres. Bush all the way with all of his decisions for war goes. I'm glad to have a president that realizes what this country stands for and how precious everything is. I would not want to have been born in any other country. I know that if there were a peaceful way to end ALL threats and evil in the world, we would have done so a long time ago. But let's get real!! There never has been and never will be a peaceful solution to really anything! This is how the world deals with things. Other countries are jealous and angry at America. For what? Because we have the freedom they long for so much. We have helped out country after country and yet americans say the President is cold and heartless. Aahh, no I don't think so. It's us americans that are heartless and self centered little arrogant brats. When other countries look at the protesters now, they think,"Those stupid americans! They have it all yet no matter how much they have it's never enough, it's never good enough. They can't even get along with their own people!" I find that disgusting and disturbing. We have always fought for our freedom and we always will have to. That's just the way it is. If there is any threat against our country, we have the right to fight back. We don't go starting a war for the heck of it. God Bless President Bush and God Bless America!
