Saddam and WMDReader comment on item: Saddam's Rap Sheet Submitted by Joseph Rosloff (United States), Aug 20, 2002 at 18:49 There was a time not long ago when any thought of a preemptive strikew as totaly unacceptable. That was the time when rifles, cannons, bombing and other "conventional" weapons were the "norm".Can you imagine Hitler and his murderers in possession of atomic weapons in the 1940's? Does anyone looking at this screen believe he would not have loosed that monsterous evil on our world then? Does anyone looking at this screen now want to imagine the world we would be living in today? Is there anyone today that believes that Saddam is not of the same meglomaniacal mindset as Hitler and in his envisoned role as the new Saladin of the Islamic world he would refuse to use such a weapon? This article is right on point! I for one do not want to wait to find out if and when he has or will have those weapons. He has proven that he is a cold blooded Killer in pursuit of power on the world stage. A man without conscience with such a capability reminds me of an adage I saw on the wall of a laboratory once. " A monkey with a handgranade might destroy himself and perhaps a few of his compatriots but science without conscience can destroy the world".
