Is religious terrorism a right?

Reader comment on item: [Mosque Mischief and] Counting Mosques

Submitted by Chris Erickson (United States), Feb 5, 2003 at 00:08

Does our constitution protect religious terrorism? Does one have the right to practice his or her religion even if it engages in terrorism? Anybody with common sense knows any true religion will not engage in any kind of terrorism. Therefore our battle against terrorism is not against any religion that truly promotes peace, love and harmony. Instead our battle is against the militants hiding behind the guise of religion. Unfortunately in today?s war against terrorism, the religion that is being used as a guise is the Muslim Islamic religion practiced in Mosque worldwide including many here in the United States. Let us not protect their civil rights to the point that it destroys our nation! Let?s not be stupid and allow militants to come in, hide in their Mosque, plan and carry out their suicidal terrorist acts, because than it is too late, we will be all dead! We are at war here, it was declared on 9-11.
