"The public is confused"

Reader comment on item: [Mosque Mischief and] Counting Mosques

Submitted by Matthew Karlovsky (United States), Feb 4, 2003 at 13:45

Since 9/11, I believe that the general public has become much more savvy and slick with the political double talk from the Bush administration. The mainstream media pretend to act confused and attempt to pass that confusion on to John Q Public, however thay overwhelmingly do not succeed. I believe that "Clinton-fatigue" and his administration's aloofness towards security concerns has enabled the public to see that Bush and his collleagues are busily at work, mostly behind the scenes and allow them that room to operate as such. Due do multiple alternative media news sources, the public need not rely thankfully anymore on the subtle daily sycophantic musing of Jennings/Rather/Brokaw/CNN.
