A good startReader comment on item: [Mosque Mischief and] Counting Mosques Submitted by Max Rose (United States), Feb 4, 2003 at 09:53 Dear Dr. Pipes,Counting Mosques is a good start. Mosques do function as substitutes for tea-houses and town squres for some in the Muslim community here in the US, to gather, relax, exchange ideas, make new friends and plan future actions. As a Muslim I know this; as an American I fear this. Now the FBI, our protector, has timidly set out to do some good. May God protect us from our protectors! Dr. Pipes: you and a few other folks are doing what needs to be done: Shining a light on the problem that is militant Islam. Keep it up. Reasoned disagreement is welcome but not comments that are scurrilous, off-topic, commercial, disparaging religions, or otherwise inappropriate.
