PBS Interviews Karen ArmstrongReader comment on item: Debating PBS's "Muhammad" Documentary Submitted by Susan (United States), Dec 23, 2002 at 18:58 May I draw readers' attention to this "web exclusive" interview with Karen Armstrong, star of the PBS documentary Muhammed: Legacy of a Prophet, which was published on PBS affiliate KQED's website to coincide with the broadcast of the "documentary"?If readers thought that the Michael Wolfe article on Islam in America was crazy, check out this rambling, incoherent and deeply dishonest screed from a woman whom many describe as the world's foremost non-Muslim apologist for Islam. I should point out Armstrong's most ridiculous quote in this article: "If we encourage the smallest degree of bigoted attitude towards Islam, we are creating further problems for ourselves, further acts of terror." In other words, if we (The West) don't accept that Islam is a peaceful and tolerant religion, we can expect to be attacked by enraged Muslims!! This woman belongs on a psychiatrist's couch, not in a "starring" role in a major documentary funded by American taxpayers.
