Reader comment on item: Debating PBS's "Muhammad" Documentary

Submitted by A. Marku (United States), Dec 23, 2002 at 14:35

1) Muhammad did not have a dozen (of) wives. And did not have "concubines". I think you are confusing Muhammad with Brigham Young.

2)Conversion at the pain of death? Is that when a Christian becomes born again when he or she is about to be executed for all the crimes they have committed? I know that Ferdinand and Isabella (both Christians) killed or expelled any Jews or Muslims in Spain during the Spanish Inquisition. Muhammed allowed Jews and Christians to continue to practice their own faiths. Even after the 500 Jews broke their agreement with Muhammad to go fight for the worshippers of statues. A sign of things to come?

3) Jesus was the one who classified people. You ever hear the expression "A good Samaritan". Samaritans were considered bad people by Jesus.

4) GOD does not need you or me. You need GOD. Blasphemy laws were made by men. GOD has his own laws that he will use against you when the time comes.

5) The Quran has been the subject of critical books and essays since the day GOD brought it to us. Your question should be is "Why can't the Quran ever be discredited even though all these people have tried?" And that needs no answer.

Last question which was you just thinking to yourself. Why wouldn't you love such a perfect religion?
