Dr Pipes has portrayed picture of polarization among American political parties on issue of Israel . This polarization has some impact on views of other nations as well. As per example Indian governments always move forward very cautiously regarding any policy on Israel . But they will be able to justify their proximity with Israel as strategic decision beyond ideological leanings because America has consensus that Israel is important ally in war against terrorism.
If consensus breaks in America on Israel it will give a golden chance to Indian left parties to bring Israel in partisan politics. Indian left parties with Islamic forces who are eager to form new political front to consolidate Muslim community on middle Eastern foreign policies will left no stone unturned in pressurizing Indian government to rethink about Israel policy. Since ruling Congress Party is heading a coalition totally dependent on Left parties has little space to deny their influence .
In recent concluded assembly elections Left fought on Middle Eastern foreign policy issues in Muslim dominated Kerala state with grand success. Emboldened with this success Left is ready to polarize Indian polity on Middle eastern policy in general and Israel in particular. Now Middle Eastern politics has some echo in India also .
