Why Not Foe Only?

Reader comment on item: [Saudi Arabia:] Not Friend or Foe

Submitted by Dick Militelo (United States), May 14, 2002 at 12:57

Mr. Pipes,

Given all that you have stated about Saudi Arabia, including, "...Saudis have shown
themselves sympathetic to bi Laden," why do you not name them a foe only?

Moreover, what are they rivals at? Do they rival us for more free trade, or individual
rights, or perhaps scientific dicoveries? Let's name them for what they truly are.
