Dear "Richard the Lion heart",

I have some comments on what you said about the Quran. I mean no offense, but I really want to clarify some FACTS and express some of my own opinions.

You said that the Quran never mentioned the Word "Love". If you search the Quran the word "Love" at < http://www.usc.edu/dept/MSA/reference/searchquran.html > You will find that the word "Love" is mentioned tens of times. Although the word love is usually mentioned in the Quran in phrases as "those who love money more than…." and "God love not those who…", the word love is mentioned even much more in the "Hadith" (Saying by the Prophet) in phrases which has the word love in its true meaning….ex: "God loves most those who…." And "love for your brother what you love for yourself…".

You also neglected the importance or even the existence of the "Sunnah" and "Hadith" (Sayings by the Prophet). The Prophet said in the Last Sermon "I leave behind me two things, the Qur'an and my Sunnah and if you follow these you will never go astray." About "Love", the prophet also stated the following in the Last Sermon:
All mankind is from Adam and Eve, an Arab has no superiority over a non-Arab nor a non-Arab has any superiority over an Arab; also a white has no superiority over a black nor a black has any superiority over a white - except by piety and good action. Learn that every Muslim is a brother to every Muslim and that the Muslims constitute one brotherhood.

What is that? Isn't that considered replacing RACISM and HATERID with EQUALITY and LOVE?
That's my opinion, but this man deserves some credit here!!!

LAST SERMON < http://www.usc.edu/dept/MSA/fundamentals/prophet/lastsermon.html >

You could search the "Hadith" for "Love" at < http://www.usc.edu/dept/MSA/reference/searchhadith.html >

You said that the story of Noah in the Quran doesn't make sense. As you said, the Quran says that "Noah's son drowned with the unbelievers", But believers who were in the ship survived. I think that makes sense.

You said that "those who put the Koran together had no idea who these biblical personalities were." This argument is actually interesting. Non-Muslims usually make one of two arguments:
1-Quran matches the Bible; therefore, Muhammed has copied it and learnt if from Christian/Jews.
2-Quran doesn't match the Bible; therefore, Muhammed either forgot it or he made his own story.

You claim that "The Koran was put together in order of length, meaning from long surahs to the shorter ones", which is obviously as all the one billion Muslims around the world know, UNTRUE. The First Surah in the Quran has 7 verses while the Second Surah has 286 verses. Also, the order of surahs in the Quran has nothing to do with understanding each separately since each doesn't depend on the other as stories!!!

Learning about Islam is a difficult thing both for Muslims and Non-Muslims. That is why I recommend those who are interested in learning about Islam to read articles from (www.usc.edu/dept/msa) The University of Southern California Compendium of Muslim Texts Website which has information about the history of Islam supported by a database of Muslim texts. Since some of both Muslim and non-Muslim sites may have some false information or details.
