Moses(pbuh) and Jesus(pbuh) did not introduce mistakes.

Reader comment on item: Is Allah God?

I realize this reply is very late but I just came across your article. I just wanted to correct one of the ideas expressed in it, namely that Moses(pbuh) and Jesus(pbuh) introduced mistakes in the law. Neither the Qoran nor muslims (at least those who know what they're talking about) profess that those two beloved messengers of God were mistaken.

We object to some of the notions that were introduced much later during the compilation of the Bible. Most of these differences, comments made by scribes later introduced in the text of the bible as the word of God, different interpretations or omissions based on which dominant view prevailed at the time, are admited to by the churhch but they fail somehow to make it in the mainstream.

Just imagine if the Taliban were write their own version of the Qoran today, or, without going to such extremes, anyone group pushing their own cause and view.

In the end what really matters is for all of us to understand that we were created by the same God, no matter what we name him. Let us agree on that and respect one another and live in peace.

Thanks for the great articles.
