Forget about Donahue's errors; they pale into insignificance with Dabashi's performance.
If Dabashi represents the present level of academic excellence at a major institution (a department chair!), what we really have to worry about is how poorly the students are taught - and how easily they are brainwashed.
His inability to articulate his positions and his personal invectives rather than his defense of positions is incomprehensible.
