I only hope Mr Dabashi shows more tolerance for dissent in his classroom, than he did on Donahue. For someone who denounces his critics as "McCarthyites", he seemed a little free with the personal insults and imputations of bad faith and racism.
As for the cries of 'McCarthyite blacklist" has anyone on Campus Watch been fired, denied tenure or employment, taken away in a big yellow taxi to be tortured and killed? Next time, Dr Pipes, please point those who engage in such hysterical rhetoric towards the websites of Amnesty International, Index on Censorship or any other group that deals seriously with human rights and academic freedom issues. Then might learn a little about real intimidation and harrassment (as long as they don't have to look at the proof of censorship and human rights abuses perpetrated by radical Islam.)
