Dear, Dr. Pipes:
I thoroughly enjoy your academic and dispassionate education of the public. One does not need to be a graduate of Harvard University to determine who is the "failed academic" to whom Professor Hamid Dabashi was referring. Any Professor who needs to use a specious, spurious ad hominem attack to defend his actions would certainly qualify as a "failed academic." That the chair of the Department of Middle Eastern and Asian Culture and Language at Columbia University would be unable to use substantiated facts, and logic to justify his "teachings," should qualify him as a "failed academic.".. Apparently, for some professors "ignorance is only exceeded by their rudeness." No wonder some professors are terrified of being exposed on "Campus Watch." And as well they should be!
Thank you for your factual, logical, and enlightening analysis of the Middle East.
Oh, did I leave out academic, oops.
