Reader comment on item: Is Radical Islam in Decline?
in response to reader comment: Should the world vote in the US elections?

Sorry, none of your suggestions interested me. Our tastes run to:

I guess I prefer black (sardonic) humour. That video you linked to was a TV series here on the ABC forever, which I had never seen a single episode of.
.
...Concerning people in other countries having "straw votes" in US elections, I'm not keen on the idea.
It wasn't a serious proposition.

The US gets a lot of press coverage around the world, usually by networks that do not have our interests at heart;
We get spoonfed by CNN, NBC through our networks - and to a much lesser extent the BBC and Deutsche Welle. So I'd say for the most part we see a lot of what you see.

"so people outside the country think they understand us; but I don't think they do. "
I can name all 50 US states - and most of the capitals. How come? Osmotic pressure. I've watched US TV shows since primary school - and possibly even before. There's a huge amount other people know about the USA which would probably surprise you. Of course that doesn't make them experts - but it does allow people like myself to move to LA and fit right in - without anybody noticing anything different until I opened my mouth.

1. I can't remember the last time I ate at a McDonald's restaurant.
2. We seldom eat hot dogs.
.....
7. Humans we keep in touch with are people in our church and two home fellowships we go to once a month, my barber, our families overseas and "Back East" (the US, east of the Cascades), and now and then our neighbors.

But on the bell curve of Americans, you'd be an outlier - atypical, I suspect. If McDonald's relied on people like you - they'd be broke. Obviously they're not broke .

Do you know what would happen, if we let the Brits, Canadians, Aussies and Kiwis vote in out elections? Hillary wouldn't just win the election; she's be crowned a bloody monarch!

There's a lot of people here who support Trump! He says what other think but do not say which gets him a lot of approval from the proletariat. As for voting for Clinton - how could you? And that has nothing at all to do with the fact that you've just had 8 years of Democrat rule - wherein the promised 'Change' has not eventuated. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fLprurE7EVI (and the sickening original: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TW9b0xr06qA) I wonder how those kids feel now.

"Now, then, what's your opinion of astrology? "
I used to think it was a load of BS . But quantum world discoveries since show the world itself is a fiction of sorts. We 'know' hardly anything.
