Hello, Imtiaz

I am not a Middle East expert, so I have been following events in Pakistan somewhat.

"Terrorism in Pakistan has become a major and highly destructive phenomenon in recent years. The annual death toll from terrorist attacks has risen from 164 in 2003 to 3318 in 2009, with a total of 35,000 Pakistanis killed between September 11, 2001 and May 2011."

All in all, Pakistan gets hit as much as, or somewhat more, than the US and European countries. Pakistan has also been a safe haven, at times, for terrorists -- including the group that masterminded the 9/11 attack on the US, in which some 3,000 innocent people died.

Concerning ignorance of terror, most Americans born after 1965 apparently do not know much about what happened in the 9/11 attack:

If young Americans don't even know what is going on in their own country, can you expect them to know what is happening in Pakistan?
