What's the Point Of Any Palestinian Government.....
Reader comment on item: Which Way Will Abbas Go?

Submitted by J Carmiel (United Kingdom), Jan 17, 2005 at 04:07

Really, what is the point in them making any effort whatsover......Abbas cannot reign in Hamas and its likes over night, it is impossible since their roots and presence within Palestine are far stronger than that of the PA.

Reading some of the comments here coupled with Sharon's arrogance, Abbas didn't have a chance to start with, as a matter of fact any leader that comes in will be seen as a terrorist or supporter of terrorism, or as some of the comments here suggest, if he is peaceful and chooses to use diplomacy, there are ulterior motives and hidden agendas to drive the Jews into the sea, from what I can see, Hamas may as well be ruling since the PA will be treated no differently.
