Reader comment on item: Thoughts on the Syrian Downing of a Turkish Warplane

Submitted by havas (Turkey), Jun 26, 2012 at 15:06

first israel murdered 9 turks in international waters and now syria shot our plane down. and turkey couldnt respond the same way. why? because so called our islamist government thinks that war costs too much and turkey is not enough rich to afford wars. so we can conclude that turkey today is a weak country. mr erdoğan talks and talks. when they kill us he keeps on threatening. but nobody is scared of him any more.

israel must not be scared of us. we cant even deal with a country like syria. ı also dont understand mr Pipes why does he wants that nato kick turkey out. turkey is an obedient country to west. what else should we do? most people like mr erdoğan but not me. ı want him to be changed. ı want turkey to shoot israel ad syria military targets whatever the cost is. ı want revenge.
