My voiceReader comment on item: Why the Japanese Internment Still Matters Submitted by Sandra Anderson (United States), Jan 4, 2005 at 21:01 I don't think we should use internment camps as our first and only choice to protect our country from possible threats against those that might (and i do stress might) do harm to our security. We need to have other ways to watch or at least check out people who share different beliefs in our country. I find that I have read more about the abuses that went on in these internment camps than good things. We need not to jump to concusions about all people,. We tend to judge everyone from the point of view of one bad apple instead of looking at each individual case. That can lead to things happening that shouldn't. I love my country but i don't think that is right to look at others that may want to live here because of the freedoms we share judgementally. I know that there are those that come here to mask their real intentions but there are some very good people that can be hurt if we judge everyone poorly because of one bad person in amongst hundreds that are not.Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes.
