Missing the point...Reader comment on item: Why the Japanese Internment Still Matters Submitted by Aaron (United States), Jan 1, 2005 at 16:21 In my view, the injustice of Japanese-American internment was not the condition of the camps, but the fact that entire American communities were forced to sell their businesses, farms, homes and many of their possessions at paltry sums far below market value, essentially erasing the wealth accumulated by generations of families dedicated to the pursuit of the American dream.Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes.
