Just A ThoughtReader comment on item: Why the Japanese Internment Still Matters Submitted by Terry R. Holland (United States), Jan 5, 2005 at 12:00 I can honestly say that Muslims and for that matter, any American could be monitored at this very moment and not even have the slightest inkling. All that is needed is "suspicion". "Suspicion" could be for any anti-American activity that might and is dreamed up by Uncle Sam. Muslims have nothing to fear by being monitored by the government unless they are involved in terrorist activities or other anti-American activities. Because of the "War On Terror" and 9/11, it is my opinion that the U.S. should aggressively monitor all activities of every Muslim residing within the country. Have we not sufficiently grieved for the thousands murdered in cold blood on 9/11 by these savage terrorists? Shall we sit back idly and allow these radical terrorists yet another chance to plot against us on our own soil? The answer for any patriotic U.S. citizen should be a resounding plee for our security agencies to immediately begin surveillance on all these suspects whether radical or traditional, innocent or dangerous. Those who find it too intrusive can, after all, retreat to their home nations and, in all estimates of reality, are quite guilty if they do so. All Americans who are innocent of anti-American activities; those of us who are red, white and blue through and through have nothing to worry about if being "monitored".
