Avigdor Lieberman's debut as foreign ministerReader comment on item: Avigdor Lieberman's Brilliant Debut Submitted by Maurice (Israel), Apr 3, 2009 at 15:16 Isn't it interesting how much the world loves Israel when it's weak and hates it when it's strong? Avigdor Lieberman believes that a number of changes need to be made concerning how Israel deals with a number of isues, including it's defense posture. The Americans and Europeans may not like this, and Israel's Arab and Muslim neighbors and adversaries certainly won't, but that's something they will have to ger used too. As far as how Israel will deal with the Palestinians, Hamas leaders and Lieberman will probably never meet, and even Egypt's foreign minister and other government officials, inlcuding Mr. Mubarak, may not either. But one thing is for certain, with Lieberman at the helm of the foreign ministry, Israel's adversaries will have to undsertand that the "poochie moochie" antics of the last government is now a thing of the past. Any maybe that's not so bad. Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please.
