I can't agree with Shabir Khan's comment on prophet Mohammad. There are two main sources of Islam: The Quran and Traditions. If we go through the Hadis and Quran, we can find out that Mohammad organised not less than 86 expeditions, around 26 of which he led. When he started to announce his new religion, the meccans tried to insult and ignore him. So he flee to Medina. Then he came back to Mecca and take revenge. How can it be a war?
