Jesus?

Reader comment on item: Who was the Prophet Muhammad?
in response to reader comment: There are at least 2 versions of the Koran

Your reference to Josephus mentioning Jesus is wrong. The paragraph about Jesus in his works is considered a forgery. Pliney mentions Romans who have joined a sect honoring a "Christus" but never talks about a man Christ, or Jesus. The name Jesus was very popular in those days. If you want a full workup of all of this, email me and I will send you the chapter out of my "Bible Study Book" (available at Amazon and B&N) about Jesus. I have a standard statement in my blog that states; If you can provide me with irrefutable evidence that Jesus Christ existed as a living, breathing human, I will pay off all of your debts.
