to reader ReevesReader comment on item: Fascism's Legacy: Liberalism Submitted by Fred Herrero (United States), Aug 30, 2008 at 18:46 I like your comments - they make one realize that it's not just left or right, but a lot of room in between for the correct solution to find itself. However, I don't think we're as free as your comments imply - we have actually been controlled by the very few with the large holdings. It was like that in the 1890's and gradually improved until the 1950-60's. I must look up the Pipes article. Please check that you use the word PRINCIPAL correctly. In my daily work I see it confused so often with PRINCIPLE - one is an adjective, the other a noun, and they have very different meanings. I think you meant to use PRINCIPLE as the end of your commentary. Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please. Comments are screened and in some cases edited before posting. Reasoned disagreement is welcome but not comments that are scurrilous, off-topic, commercial, disparaging religions, or otherwise inappropriate. For complete regulations, see the "Guidelines for Reader Comments". Comment on this item
