Ok, then I've overestimated the percentage

in all likelihood. I do see, some are attributed to famine and starvations imposed by the governments, etc. I'm sure many other things, not direct combat casualties, perhaps government control measures - I suppose loosely most of it could be said to be - well you said it best "conflict". lol

A government that starves political oppposition or peasants, for instance, isn't generally said to be "at war with it's own people" - at least not in the traditionally accepted language usages. Thank you for the point, I feel assured now I didn't overdo the side of the equation my point rests upon.
