Response to another Bush justification policyReader comment on item: [Saddam's] WMD Lies Submitted by dfordemn@Yahoo.com (United States), Oct 31, 2003 at 16:46 ...The points arguing about the fact that the UN inspectors, Clinton, and other high officials knew about the WMD only was true prior to or shortly following the first Gulf War. In fact the leader of the UN Team has stated clearly that the WMD items were destroyed before the current Bush administration came into power! That's why no WMD have been found!! Bush lied to the American people and should be impeached -- a far worse action than a sexual encounter by Clinton. Bush's lies have already caused the death of over 200 brave American soldiers and tens of thousands of Iraqui citizens. Any argument that tries to justify the current bellicose fiasco by saying "The world is better off without the threat of Sadam" must be accompanied also with the phrase "or without Castro, or the North Korean President, or countless other corrupt leaders in the world -- ...but that does not give us the right to go to war to remove them from power. ...Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes.
