Bush's LegacyReader comment on item: Bush's Middle East Hopes [and His Failures] Submitted by Infidel (Canada), Jan 19, 2008 at 21:38 While you can look at a positive view of George Bush's legacy, please note that the USA is bankrupt. Throwing another 145 billion dollars into the economy is not solving the major problems and will only add to the American debt, now in access of 9 trillion dollars. Four thousand plus troops dead and one hundred and fifty thousand Iraqis dead. And now the world hates the USA. What value is that? How comfortable are you with the rising power of Russia and China? Frankly, I'm scared. The world desperately need a strong USA. Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes.
