Iran is not the main enemy -- the Saudis are

Shiite Iran is not the main problem -- the Saudis with their combination of oil wealth and Wahabi maniacs are.

Shiism is the minorty position in the Moslem world -- it is also the more flexible of the two variants (allowing more reinterpretation of the Koran)

Iranians are also definitely a cut above the Arabs or Pakistanis as to imminent potential for civilization .

I would basically hope for an Iranian victory in a Sunni-Shiite Moslem regional civil war, although I would not help either side.
