Islam's greatest threat lies is in its ability to penetrate Western society under the cloak of a "religion". Instead of being contained and combatted as the hostile enemy political ideology it really is, this "religion" status allows Islam to benefit from all the financial, legal, political, and educational freedoms accorded to non-violent religions.
After all, we'd be only reciprocating how non-Islamic religions are treated and banned by the Saudi autocracy -- as hostile enemy ideologies.
The major victims of Islam are not only non-Muslims who suffer its aggression; but Muslim women and men themselves, whom we fail to liberate form its oppressive and intolerant regime. Two key features clearly separate Islam from other currently-recognized religions and place it in the realm of a hostile political ideology:
1. JIHAD: Every Muslim's duty of perpetual, global Holy War against non-Muslim nations ("Infidels"). Declared 14 centuries ago and remains in force today. Jihad offers Infidel societies 3 choices: (a) Accept Islam (means "Submission" in Arabic), (b) Subject yourself to Muslim rule as oppressed "Dhimmi" (non-Muslim minority), or (c) Perpetual war under threat of destruction. Jihad, historically an ideology serving Arab Imperialism, results in genocidalism and colonialism against non-Islamic, non-Arab peoples/cultures; justifies and encourages endless war, unlimited killing, and martyrdom in its cause.
2. SHARIA: All laws in Islamic societies must be governed by Allah-given Islamic law ("Sharia") based on 7th century Bedouin-Arab mores. Sharia mandates theocratic totalitarian government; leads to oppressive Apartheid regime against women, non-Muslims, other non-conformists; deeply contradicts contemporary Humanism; makes basic tenets of Western civilization such as Human Rights, Democracy, Freedom, Secularism, Education impossible in Islamic societies. Christian and even Jewish societies may have conducted Holy Wars or been governed by religious laws (Canon Law, Halacha, etc.) at some time in their history, but in our day have reformed to eliminate such elements in favor of the principles of Western civilization.
