To Linda,Reader comment on item: Bush's Middle East Hopes [and His Failures] Submitted by Larry B. (United States), Feb 2, 2008 at 14:14 I agree with you Linda, respect is not something handed out as treats, but it is earned. Mutual respect is met with mutual considerations. In the USA, hate speech that incites to riot and more is forbidden. Using our own laws, the quran should be forbidden as hate speech. It is a book that advocates terror, violance and death to anyone who is non muslim, violates the freedom of individuals, and especially women. Islam does not, has never, nor will it ever respect any other religion. Therefore at the risk of sounding politically incorrect, I wholeheartedly endorse the above. Freedom of religion is not the abdication of acting responsibly. Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Reasoned disagreement is welcome but not comments that are scurrilous, off-topic, commercial, disparaging religions, or otherwise inappropriate.
