Myanmar vs PakistanReader comment on item: Bush's Middle East Hopes [and His Failures] Submitted by Joe (United States), Feb 3, 2008 at 15:49 In spite of the money we've sent to the Musharaf regime, Musharaf has recently said that he will not go after Bin Laden. Why is that? Is it because OBL is so popular in Pakistan that arresting him would endanger Musharaf? If Pakistanis are so moderate, how many times have the Pakistanis protested outside of a madrassa known for preaching hate against Hindus to say such institutions have no place in Pakistan? Have you? Notice the US backs democracy in Buddhist Myanmar, what's the difference? Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes.
