It might seem impossible today to fight the cause and its symptoms, and what you say is true. But a beginning has to be made somewhere. The world has failed miserably in this direction. When politicians and media preach Isdlam is good but Islamic fundamentalism is bad, they hardly realize the cintradicti9n in their own words and are just foolling not only themselves but also the general public that trusts their judgement and thinks them to be well inoformed and knowledgeable. Firstly if Islam is good then how can following its fundamentals be bad. Secondly, the public is likely to believe what they hear in the media and their political pundits than one or two individuals informing the public otherwise, not realizing that the media and the politiciians can be easliy bought and they are not that informed as the puiblic believes them to be.
The first step is to inform the public the grave danger that lies ahead. To give an example the US did not fight communism by publicly declaring that Communism is good but Communist fundamentalism is bad. Did we? Why treat Islam any differently?
If Islamic fundamentalism is bad how can Islam be good. IF Islam is good, why shoiuld anyone be concerned when Osama wants everyone to convert to Islam. Don't we all want to be good? Let the whole world convert to Islam and get our share of 72 virgins in Heaven
