I think Yuval is essentially correct. I have spoken to some Israelis who have this universalist outlook. Universalism doesn't work. All the world cannot be one happy family. We are all part of a group. If we fail to believe in the right of our own group to exist, to have a place, yes, a physical place in this world, then we are advocating our own suicide, whether we know it or not.
