Equivalency??

Reader comment on item: Is Allah God?
in response to reader comment: equivalency

First of all, son of virgin Mary didn't speak Hebrew. His language was Aramaic. And as I have said, in Aramaic, his name is Esoo (peace be upon him).

If you say Isa in Arabic and Yeshua in Hebrew are the equivalent, I do agree.

But who came up with this word called "Jesus"?

Who named Esoo, "Jesus"?

To be honest, nobody is 100% certain about this. But the most favoured theory, from dozens of YOUR scholars, Jesus litterally means "may his name be forgottten and never remebered." I can see this curse working very well in the English speaking world!

And if you are talking about equivalency, let me tell you what is the meaning of equality.

Allah of Quran is the same God of the OT and NT. And it is not just equivalency, but equality.

Do you have any friends or met any Arab Jews or Arab Christians? Or may be you might want to look up for the word Allah in wikipedia, to see what it really means.

This Arabic word "Allah" didn't pop up 14 hundred years ago. It has been there since prehistoric times. Arab Jews and Arab Christians use Allah till today. Just pick up any Bible and you will see Allah (in Arabic of cource), written everywhere.

And any Muslims believe in prophethood of Prophet Noah, Prophet Abraham, Prophet Issac, Prophet Moses, Prophet David, Prophet Solomon, etc. (peace be upon them).

And all Muslims believe in all the books brought from them. As it is said in the Quran, The Books (i.e. Bible) are the Sacred Words of Allah.

So Allah is the God of the OT, NT, Quran and any other Books of the Prophets. Allah is the God of Prophet Abraham, Prophet Moses, Prophet Isa, Prophet Mohammed (peace be upon them).

Hence, my God is the God of Abraham, the God of Moses, the God of Isa (peace be upon them). And if you reject the fact that my God is the same God as yours, then does Abraham, Moses and Isa have 2 different gods? One of yours and one of mine? Is the prophet Abraham, Moses and Isa I believe different from the prophets you believe?

Just open your mind. I know that no Jew would agree that you worship the same God they worship. Muslims are in the same position as you. So if you put yourself in the position of a Muslim, you will see the same thing you are seeing.

May peace be with you..
